Holidays for the year 2021 were originally proclaimed through Proclamation No. 986 issued on 20 July 2020. However, it was amended by Proclamation No. 1107, issued on 26 February 2021. All covered employees shall be entitled to holiday pay when they are on leave of absence with pay on the workday immediately preceding the regular holiday. Holiday pay should be paid accordingly, particularly the regular holiday this coming January 1, 2021, the first regular holiday of the new year which falls on a Friday.
