Notice to Explain Theft of Co-Employee’s Property

On _______, Ms. Bagh A. Dict informed the Security Office and HR regarding the loss of her signature handbag, Herpeez.
She stated that she went out for lunch that day and forgot to bring her bag placed on top of her desk. Security Chief Rolando Isnapi reviewed the CCTV footage on the said floor and found that you approached Ms. Dict’s desk and took her bag.
Under Section R5 of our Code of Conduct, theft of coemployee’s property is punishable with dismissal. If proven, it is also a ground for dismissal under Article 297 of the Labor Code, as amended.
In this regard, please explain in writing within five (5) calendar days from receipt of this notice why no disciplinary action should be imposed upon you for the act mentioned.
Failure to submit the written explanation within the period stated shall be deemed waiver of your right to due process. For your strict compliance.
