Probationary Period Does Not Include COVID-19 Quarantine Time Per Labor Advisory 14, Series of 2020
Probationary Period shall not include the time during which the employee was under the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) due to COVID-19 contagion.
On March 30, 2020, the DOLE issued Labor Advisory 14, Series of 2020 (https://www.dole.gov.ph/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Labor-Advisory-No.-14-Series-of-2020.pdf; accessed on April 1, 2020 at 7:23 p.m.) stating that for purposes of determining the six-month probationary period, the one-month ECQ period is not included.
